博士生导师、主任医师、教授、中国科学技术大学附属第一医院（安徽省立医院）内分泌科科主任。

曾主持获安徽省自然科学二等奖1次；安徽省科学技术进步二等奖2次。首届江淮名医，享受国务院政府津贴。

致力于内分泌代谢性疾病临床、教学与科学研究30多年，培养14博士、硕士研究生65名。以第一或通讯作者在国内外期刊杂志发表论文500篇，其中SCI期刊论文60余篇。主编学术专著6部，参编7部。

    现为中华医学会糖尿病学分会委员，安徽省医学会糖尿病学分会主任委员；曾任安徽省医学会内分泌学分会和内科学分会主任委员。
