中国科学技术大学特任教授、博士生导师。
曾入选国家创新人才计划青年项目、全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单。现任中国科学技术大学公共卫生研究院执行院长、临床医学院副院长。
2006年本科毕业于华中科技大学和武汉大学，获预防医学和生物科学双学士学位。2011年博士毕业于华中科技大学同济医学院，获营养与食品卫生学博士学位。2011-2015年在美国国立卫生研究院（NIH）从事流行病学博士后研究。2016-2021年任美国爱荷华大学流行病学助理教授，于2021年晋升为副教授并获终身教职。2021年8月入职中国科学技术大学生命科学与医学部。
长期从事慢性病流行病学和妇女儿童健康研究，从生命历程角度探讨慢性病的病因、危险因素和代际效应，尤其关注糖尿病、肥胖、心血管疾病等慢性病的膳食营养、生活方式、环境因素与生物标志物。曾主持美国NIH和洛克菲勒基金会资助的研究项目。发表SCI论文200余篇，其中80余篇以通讯作者发表于JAMA、BMJ、Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology、JAMA Internal Medicine、Diabetes Care等国际学术期刊。
兼任中国营养学会理事、营养青年会（ICNYSN）科研合作委员会主任、Nutrition Journal和Nutrition & Metabolism的Associate Editor，并多次受邀作为美国NIH、CDC、英国糖尿病学会等科研基金的评审专家，以及BMJ、Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology、Annals of Internal Medicine、JAMA Internal Medicine等国际学术期刊的审稿人。
